Trinity Graduates Honored at Durham Sports Club

The Durham Sports Club hosts an annual awards dinner for local high schools. Each school, public and private, nominates a girl and a boy for honors as student athletes.

On Thursday night, May 19, I joined Todd Eckstein and Camille Morgan, our nominees, for a dinner at Croasdaile Country Club. Camille's parents, Doug and Lynne, and Todd's parents, Tim and Sue were there as well. It was a proud moment to have our two outstanding graduates there in the front of the room, being recognized alongside outstanding student athletes from all the Durham schools. Here is a picture of our nominees, alongside Sue Eckstein (proud AD and proud parent) and me.

And the highlight of the evening was when Camille was awarded the top award for a female student athlete in the city of Durham. We are very proud of Camille, who represents a host of student athletes at Trinity. Keeping scholarship and sports together is a great accomplishment. A good education cultivates the life of the mind and trains the body as well.
