1/2 Snow Day
A certain staff member who will go unnamed (unless you can read her note below) promises me a delicious loaf of yeast bread whenever I call a snow day. Some people call this a gift of gratitude, some an incentive, others a bribe. You will have to decide.
(Disclaimer: I am not angling to multiply these . . . ahem . . . tributes.)
Today we had a noon dismissal, as the snow was predicted to fly in the early afternoon. (It came before noon, but that is another post.) When I walked into my office this morning after faculty devotions, this is what I found in my inbox:
I thanked her halfheartedly this morning and posed this: If we had another storm like the one in 200, would I get a week's worth of baked goods?
