A Happy Birthday

When I walked into my office last week, just before the snowstorm, I was greeted by a big surprise.  Teachers and staff had conspired to plaster the entire room with hearts, birthday wishes.  Having a Valentine's Day birthday (which I share with Trinity teacher Kaity Woodrum), makes my birthday rather conspicuous.

Hundreds of birthday wishes!  Some were very aspirational, like the student who wants me to have a new car:

Some were inspirational, like the teacher who encouraged me to "Rejoice in the Lord" in Greek:

Some knew just what a Headmaster might be worried about:

But one was prescient and prophetic, long before the snow flew:

It was a very Happy Birthday.  Thanks to everyone who wished it on me.
