A Full Day!

Last Friday was quite a day at Trinity.  Hard to believe that all this happened in one day.
It was Explorer Day for our third graders.
Just ask Sir Francis Drake:
Or Neil Armstrong, and his friend Lief.
Mr. Julius Robinson visited the Augustine Tutoring Service Learning class to share his amazing story of learning to read and learning to follow Christ.  It was amazingly inspiring.  Mr. Robinson is a man with a powerful story.

Later in the morning, a group of 2013 Alumni mothers gathered in the Great Room to fill exam boxes for their college freshmen.  Each family sent 23 of one treat or goodie, and they filled enough boxes to send one to every Trinity alum.

At lunch, Alaina Yeats and Emily Sarrat signed their NCAA Division I letters of intent, while the entire Upper School watched and supported them.

Alaina will be playing golf at UNC Wilmington
Emily will be swimming at Louisville
Supporting one another, celebrating together.
Proud parents.
Senora V prayed God's blessing on both of them as they undertake this next step.

And the entire swim team gathered to cheer their teammate on!
In the afternoon, the Recorder Ensemble played, while the second graders rehearsed their Thanksgiving songs.

I visited the third grade, where Mrs. Farrell was teaching the students how to manage conflict, using the Peacemakers Curriculum.

Picture this also:
The Model UN students boarding a van to head for William and Mary for their weekend event.
The Robotics class taking a field trip to the UNC Computer Science Department.
Seven basketball games in the Trinity gym, starting at 4 pm and running until 9 pm.

What a day!
What a rich day of learning and celebrating!
